Prayer for Departed Brethren

When I was President of a Service Club, I introduced a portion in the Induction Program, which I find very meaningful - and that is to honor departed members of the club. It so simple but very meaningful. The short ceremony projects a solemn spirit over the living to recall the happy memories of the departed brethren when they were still with us in flesh and spirit.

SILENT PRAYER FOR DEPARTED BRETHREN

"While we deplore the loss of our beloved brethren and pay this fraternal tribute to their memory, let us not forget, that we too, are mortal, that somehow our bodies now strong and vigorous, ultimately our spirits must return to God who gave it.

With reverence, let us supplicate the Divine Grace to insure the favor of that Eternal Being whose goodness and wisdom knows no bounds."

Amen! So mote it be.
